Personal Training

One 2 One training

Why Personal Training?

A person who train's by their self will only use 40-50% of their maximum effort and while a person who trains with a personal trainer will tend to use 70-80% of their maximum effort.

Sometimes we tend to slack off on our workouts, especially when things get tough. A trainer can motivate you to push past those self-imposed limits, encouraging you to lift heavier, go longer and challenge yourself more than you would on your own. You’ll find it’s very hard to slack off with a trainer standing over you, telling you to do! Also if you’re training for a marathon or some other type of sport or event, an experienced trainer can help you figure out what you need to do to stay strong without taking away from your other training. They can also help create a training program and map out a plan for the coming event. Just make sure there experienced in the sport you’re training for since not all trainers do sport-specific training.

With my Hard Core Fitness plan you will:

  • Develop a better understanding
  • Lose body Fat
  • Tone up
  • Better Core strength
  • Better Posture
  • Feel Great

What to expect from your first session

The main advantage of hiring a personal trainer is to get a safe and realistic fitness program tailored to your specific goals. The initial consultation is key: Once I have determined your fitness levels and health history, my initial aim will be to help you set both short and long term aims and then devise an appropriate program to meet them.

To do this I will take a heart rate count, blood pressure reading, flexibility assessment and a gauge of lung functionality. If you have any specific concerns or requirements, from general weight loss to a post-pregnancy shape up, they should be addressed here.

A personal trainer is a person who helps people exercise. The scope of practice for a personal trainer is to enhance the components of fitness for the general, healthy population. The 5 classic components of fitness are muscular strength, muscular endurance, body composition, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility, although there are other subsets like power, skill, and speed which is something we will discuss further.

Personal training is called personal training because it’s all about ‘one on one’ advice, guidance and motivation. The whole reason for paying for your own fitness trainer is to get the attention and a training program that‘s right for you. Which is exactly what you will get with my specialised fitness program tailored especially for you.

Working hard is not the same as hard work!

The main rule to personal training is... Everyone is unique: A one-size fits all approach won’t work. So, my aim is to get to know you and focus on really understanding what drives you before developing your individual program.
